EFSIS
is the premier third party independent inspection service, providing
retailers, manufacturers and caterers, throughout the world, with
expert inspection of their operations and suppliers to ensure only
the highest standards are maintained. These range from accredited
inspection of food premises to ISO 9000 system audits to HACCP certification
and beyond.
EFSIS
has now completed the process of assessment to EN45004 by UKAS with
respect to the EFSIS Standard for Companies Supplying Retailer Branded
Food Products; and the BMMA Standard for Meat Manufacture. |

EFSIS
are the preferred inspection service to a wide range of specifiers worldwide.
These include major multiple retailers, grocery independents, contract
caterers, multiple catering outlets, fast food chains and whole host of
other companies operating in the food chain. EFSIS also inspect against
various industry quality assurance schemes, covering an extremely extensive
range of food products.
The
EFSIS inspection team is made up of experienced inspectors, assigned to
specific inspections on the basis of their particular expertise and knowledge
of the technologies involved.
To
ensure consistency of approach in inspection and reporting, all inspectors
are Trained Lead Assessors and are required to attend regular standardisation
meetings.
All
inspectors must meet the following criteria before they are able to conduct
EFSIS inspections.
1.
Education - minimum of HNC or equivalent in a food bio-science discipline.
2.
Training - must have successfully completed ISO 9000 Lead Assessors course
- must have successfully completed RIPHH HACCP training course.
3.
Experience - minimum 5 years post-graduate work experience.
4.
Have experience of the specific technology
This
accreditation together with the existing license for dealing in medical
products which is issued by yhe medicines control agency on behalf of
the Secretary Of State for Health makes D Maxim Logistics Limited one
of the few privately owned blue chip warehousing companies.
